Diego Simeone has claimed that his Atletico Madrid side need to be at ‘110 per cent’ when they face Real Madrid this evening.
The Rojiblancos travel to Santiago Bernabeu tonight looking to continue their unbeaten record in the League so far.
But the Coach has admitted it will be tough coming up against Carlo Ancelotti’s men.
“For these types of games there’s always hope and expectation,” he told a Press conference.
“Madrid have huge economic power and top players. And they have a great Coach in Ancelotti.
“I’d like to say thank you to him for his kind words about me. I’m nobody to be analysing him.
“He’s a top Coach and he’s shown that in the best teams in the world.
“We got a monkey off our back with [the Copa del Rey win], we left behind a lot of negative vibes. That was the most important win of the last few years.
“But tomorrow is another game. We’re going into it hoping to do well.
“We always play the same way. We need to feel comfortable and play in the way we believe best.
“They’ve played 4-4-2 except against Villarreal, where they played 4-3-3. I don’t know if Bale will play, but those systems would be perfect for his style.
“We need to see where we can hurt them.
“We need to be 110 per cent. Madrid have fantastic players who can turn things around in an instant. We need to show we’re a focused, it’ll favour us if they have the ball. They are better than us. They’ve an amazing squad.”
