Real Madrid have reported that Gareth Bale has suffered a minor thigh strain, with speculation that he will skip the midweek trip to Elche.
The Welshman was originally named in Madrid’s starting XI to face Getafe in Week 5, but pulled out after feeling his thigh during the pre-game warm-up.
Tests carried out today on the injury have confirmed a minor strain and that his availability will now depend on its evolution.
Speculation is that he will not be risked in Madrid’s midweek League trip out to Elche, but that he will be in contention to feature in next weekend’s derby at home to Atletico Madrid.
