Pedro commented on his first hat-trick for Barcelona as they defeated Rayo Vallecano 4-0 on Saturday.
The Spain international bagged his first ever treble for the Camp Nou club as they defeated the Franjirrojos yesterday evening.
“I’m happy with how the team worked tonight. It was a hard match to win,” he told reporters.
“On a personal level, I’m also happy. But, above all, I have to thank my team-mates. We knew we couldn’t slip up today.
“We know how difficult Vallecas is; it’s a hard place to come to. They [Rayo] have a competitive team, but we managed to find the spaces and score goals.
“We all want to play, we all want to be in the line-up. Scoring goals is good for the confidence. The coach decided to rest me [against Ajax on Wednesday] – I’d played games for Spain.
“I’m ready to play whenever the coach asks me to.”
