Gareth Bale has missed out on making his first appearance at Santiago Bernabeu after injuring himself in the warm-up against Getafe.
The Wales international was set to start against the Azulones on Sunday, but had problems with his thigh, and so therefore will not play. Isco has come in to replace the 24-year-old.
Elsewhere, Asier Illarramendi starts at the base of midfield alongside Sami Khedira, with Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric all rested.
