Gerard Pique was the notable absence from Barcelona training on Thursday, as Carles Puyol continued his recovery process.
Pique scored in yesterday’s Champions League win over Ajax but was later replaced by Marc Bartra after suffering discomfort.
On from this, today’s training at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper has been without the tall defender, who has instead undergone physiotherapy.
Pique’s fellow starters from Wednesday’s match all otherwise underwent recovery exercises in the session.
Meanwhile, fellow centre-back Puyol continued his recovery from summer surgery to remove a cyst on his knee by once more working in part with the rest of his teammates.
