Cazorla: Chile will be useful

Santi Cazorla sees the practicality in Spain’s friendly with Chile, but also hints at the competitive edge he is anticipating.

The Arsenal man is seen as in line to start Tuesday evening’s friendly in Geneva, which pits La Roja against a side that has proven troublesome in recent past meetings.

“The game against Finland was very welcome, those are three very important points and France’s draw [with Georgia] is even better,” reflected Cazorla to reporters.

“But now we have this match, which will be very good to play in.

“Chile are very competitive, this will be a useful game because it will help to know where we stand.

“They may have the spirit of revenge, but we also are looking forward to the game and to beating the Chileans.”
