Raphael Varane is close to a return for Real Madrid, according to reports in the Spanish Press.
Marca claim that the French defender will be back in full training within the next couple of weeks and could be back in the team for the Madrid derby.
The 20-year-old had knee surgery four months ago, and was expected to be back in time for the start of preseason.
However, a setback in Miami caused the youngster to go backwards in his recovery. The Madrid-based paper though, believe that a return will happen soon, with the club hopeful that he will be back in time for the match with Atletico Madrid.
