Raul Albiol has admitted that qualifying from Group I was never going to be easy, despite sitting top of the table.
Spain defeated Finland 2-0 on Friday evening to go three points clear at the top of the World Cup qualifying group.
But the Napoli defender has admitted that anything could happen going into the final two games.
"We saw what happened in Gijon [when Spain drew 1-1 with Finland] and it was important to avoid a similar situation," he told reporters.
"They are very difficult games to win. Nowadays it is not easy to win away from home, as happened today with France [who drew 0-0- with Georgia], so we appreciate the victory. It's not been at all easy."
