Alvaro Negredo has admitted that he was delighted to get the three points against Finland as Spain claimed a 2-0 win.
Jordi Alba and the Manchester City forward scored the goals that gave La Roja the win to take them a step closer to the World Cup.
And the striker has admitted that it was a relief after the two sides drew in the first match last year.
“We desperately wanted to kill the game off,” he told reporters.
“We did not want a repeat of what happened in the first match.
“We’re delighted it didn’t. This is a very important step for us.”
