Osasuna have reportedly identified Javi Gracia and Francesc Ferrer ‘Rubi’ as leading candidates to replace Jose Luis Mendilibar.
The Pamplona outfit, currently pointless from the first three rounds of League action, dispatched with Mendilibar on Tuesday afternoon.
On from this, a list of replacements has been drawn up and is reportedly headed by Gracia and Rubi.
President Miguel Archanco commented that four names are being considered and that the club are interested in ‘a young Coach who is committed to playing young players’.
Gracia is seen as the early favourite, on from work last year in the Segunda Division taking Almeria to promotion, before being replaced by Francisco.
Meanwhile, Rubi is also seen as in contention, on from similar work in the second tier last year with Girona.
Whilst he has only just been appointed to the coaching staff at Barcelona, the change in Coach over the summer at the Camp Nou currently has his and Jordi Roura’s roles in doubt.
