Emilio Butragueno sat alongside Gareth Bale during his first Press conference and welcomed the new Real Madrid signing.
On from completing formalities on a €91m-€100m transfer from Tottenham and being presented to the club’s fans at the Santiago Bernabeu, the Welshman was introduced to the media by the club’s retired striker and current director of communications.
“Welcome to your new home,” Butragueno told Bale in front of the assembled Press.
“This is a very emotional day for us. As our President said, the demands here are enormous but you are going to be a fundamental player and help us win lots of titles.
“We will do everything you can so that you and your family can be happy here in Madrid. Here is to a long and fruitful future at our club.”
