Trigueros anticipates tough Osasuna

Manu Trigueros has warned of an Osasuna desperate to win this weekend, but urged his Villarreal colleagues to make it three wins out of three.

The Yellow Submarine head out to Pamplona this Saturday night in contrasting form to Los Rojillos, having won their opening two games, just as Jose Luis Mendilibar’s men have lost theirs.

“They have zero points and will be going all out,” midfielder Trigueros reflected this week.

“We are eager to play this game, because we are on a roll and want to continue on that path. It would be three straight wins, nine points would certainly be very good.

“Moreover, after this Real Madrid visit us and we would face that game a lot more relaxed, with those nine points.

“Osasuna have no points at the moment and they will want to end that and will have the knife between their teeth, so we expect a tough game.”

Villarreal’s game comes with an 11pm local time kick-off.

“Playing so late changes everything, meals and other things are all done much later, and then it is difficult to sleep with the game finishing so late.”
