Perez tried to stop Kaka talking

Florentino Perez reportedly tried unsuccessfully to stop Ricardo Kaka from yesterday declaring publicly his intention to leave Real Madrid.

The 31-year-old revealed to reporters after Thursday evening’s win over Deportivo that he wants to leave Los Blancos before the transfer window shuts on Monday.

Both Marca and AS suggest that this action was against Perez’s wishes, with the club President reportedly trying up until the last moment to try and prevent the player from going public.

Perez, who was not with the squad in A Coruna for their Trofeo Teresa Herrera game with Depor, apparently learned yesterday evening of Kaka’s intentions and contacted sporting director Miguel Pardeza to try and get him to stop the Brazilian from talking.

However, it is understood that by the time Perez got through Pardeza, Kaka had already spoken with the media.
