Malaga have confirmed the arrival of Moroccan international Mounir El Hamdaoui from Fiorentina on a provisional season-long loan deal.
The 29-year-old had been increasingly linked with the Anchovies in recent days as another option in attack alongside Roque Santa Cruz and, on from the clubs reaching an agreement, the striker flew into the Costa del Sol yesterday evening.
Passing a medical and finalising terms of agreement, the player has now been confirmed by Malaga has having signed on a provisional season-long loan deal.
Bernd Schuster’s outfit also report on their website that they have a purchase option included in the deal with La Viola to make the former Ajax man’s transfer permanent next summer.
Malaga’s statement also writes that the player ‘will receive gifts from official sponsors of Malaga, Coca Cola and San Miguel’ at his presentation on Thursday.
