Pabon: Happy to be here

Dorlan Pabon has enthused at completing his move to Valencia and indicated that he could be available to debut against Barcelona.

The Colombian, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Betis, has completed a quick return to La Liga with a €7.5m transfer from Monterrey.

On from sorting out bureaucratic issues that delayed his arrival by almost a week, the 25-year-old yesterday arrived in Valencia and passed a routine medical test.

“I’m delighted to be in a team that is always competing. I’m very happy to be here,” Pabon told reporters afterwards.

“I think I can adapt well to what the Coach needs because I am a man with speed and movement and play on the back of defenders.”

Pabon also indicated that if Miroslav Djukic deemed it appropriate, he would be willing and able to debut for the team in Week 3’s home fixture with Barcelona.

The striker will be officially presented to the media this Wednesday evening.
