Speculation in Spain is that Sergio Busquets will officially sign off on a new Barcelona contract early next week.
The defensive midfielder has been in believed renewal talks with the Catalan club over a new deal in recent months, with sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta hinting in mid-July that terms had already been agreed.
Reports this week have it that the 25-year-old will be present at Barca’s offices next Tuesday at noon, where alongside President Sandro Rosell he will sign on until June 2018, extending his current deal by three years.
The double European Cup winner and four-time Spanish League champion will see his buyout clause in the new deal apparently set at €150m.
It is understood that Barca will then turn their attention to finalising renewals for Gerard Pique and Andres Iniesta.
