Malaga are reportedly prioritising a move this summer for Fiorentina forward Mounir El Hamdaoui.
Reports in Spain this week are that the Costa del Sol outfit have already made initial contact with La Viola over a move for the 29-year-old, who only transferred to Italy from Ajax last summer.
Malaga have reportedly been pushing for a loan deal for the striker, who, in facing competition from Mario Gomez and Giuseppe Rossi, is seen as available to interested parties for around €5m.
The Anchovies are seen as having switched priority in the market towards El Hamdaoui, who commands an annual salary of around €1m, as talks with PSV over original target Tim Matavz have not advanced past the Dutch side’s €10m valuation.
El Hamdaoui is also believed to be attracting interest from the Premier League.
