Sergio Busquets has commented on the importance of Barcelona retrieving their ability to pressure opponents for the ball.
Barca impressed on Sunday evening in new Coach Tata Martino’s official debut, with a 7-0 win over Levante.
Post-match focus has been on the defending champions’ return to high pressing on the field, which one of their midfielders has explained is important.
“The recovered pressure greatly helps the players who are in the middle of the field, whilst it is good for the forwards to help us in retrieving the ball,” Busquets reflected after the Levante win.
“This pressure had not disappeared, but we are now doing what for a while we had not been.
“Last year was a tough season and we made many changes. We lacked that stability that we needed.
“Now the Coach has brought many tactical aspects and that makes us very comfortable.”
