Tello tells of pride at La Roja debut

Barcelona’s Cristian Tello has reflected on his pride at making his debut in Spain’s 2-0 win over Ecuador in Guayaquil.

The youngster, who played the full 90 minutes and set up Santi Cazorla for La Roja’s second goal, told Tele 5 he was also happy with his own display.

“Anyone would be happy at being called up for the national team. For me it’s a dream come true and I hope there are many more of them.

“I’m proud to have been able to come here and felt I did well in a workmanlike performance.

“We know games like this are always going to be difficult and very physical, but we were able to impose our own style of play and managed to win.”
