New Real Betis man Joan Verdu has suffered a thigh injury during their summer training camp in England.
The Verdiblancos are currently in Chester, preparing for two matches this weekend against Hull and Everton.
But they may have to do without the recent signing from Espanyol, who has picked up a thigh strain.
The 30-year-old pulled up in Wednesday’s morning session, and was unable to participate in the afternoon workout.
The club have so far failed to comment on the length of Verdu’s recovery period.
