Real Betis President Miguel Guillen has conceded that the club are on the verge of bringing in a new midfielder.
The Verdiblancos chief has claimed that a defensive midfielder could join the club in the next few days, but has failed to reveal any names.
“We're on it,” he told reporters. “The sports management side are continuing to work.
“I cannot say when he will arrive because that does not depend on us.
“Negotiations are progressing.
“In a few days there may be news.”
