Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa has admitted that the team are going into the new season with a sense of optimism.
Los Blancos have hired Carlo Ancelotti as their new Coach, whilst have also added the likes of Isco and Asier Illarramendi to the squad.
And the full-back has claimed that, if preseason is anything to go by, the Santiago Bernabeu side can do well this term.
“The workouts have been intense this summer,” he told Adidas. “But that's the same as all preseasons.
“We have a good sensations. The team has been strengthened very well.
“There is a good base that we have built over the last few years, and we have high hopes for this season.
“Hopefully we can bring joy to the fans.”
