Barcelona have received a warm welcome on arrival in Thailand for their mini-tour of Asia following the trip to Israel and the West Bank.
A traditional Thai band awaited the Spanish champions after they touched down at Don Muang airport, to the north of the country’s capital, where each player was presented with a garland of flowers as hundreds of supporters looked on.
Barca are set to take part in various promotional events in conjunction with UNICEF and other sponsors, before a friendly match with the Thai national team at the Rajamangala Stadium on Wednesday.
The tour concludes in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday when Tata Martino’s men take on a team selected from the Malaysian League.
La Blaugrana’s economic Vice-President Javier Faus has reported the two games are expected to earn the club around €6m.
