Madrid beat Everton in LA

Real Madrid are through to the final of the Guinness International Champions Cup after a 2-1 win over Everton.

Carlo Ancelotti named a strong line-up for the match against the Premier League club in Los Angeles. Those internationals who played in the Confederations Cup returned, with Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo all starting.

It was Cristiano Ronaldo who opened the scoring though after just 12 minutes – rounding Tim Howard and slotting home.

Mesut Ozil made it 2-0 on the half hour, before Nikica Jelavic pulled one back for the Toffees in the second half.

Los Blancos now travel to Miami where they will face the winner of Milan or Chelsea.
