Late kick-offs for Week 1, 2

The Spanish Football League (LFP) has published the kick-off times for the first two weeks of the Primera Division, listing some 11pm games.

Valencia’s home match with Malaga and Atletico Madrid’s visit to Sevilla are scheduled for the late kick-off in 2013-14’s opening round of games, which will be played across August 17, 18 and 19.

Meanwhile, Villarreal-Real Valladolid and Real Betis-Celta Vigo in Week 2 are also given the 11pm local time starts, in a round of fixtures for August 23 through to August 26.

Week 1 has defending champions Barcelona begin the season at home to Levante on Sunday evening at 7pm Spanish time, followed swiftly at 9pm by rivals Real Madrid, at home to Betis.

On from LFP chief Javier Tebas’ support of the Monday night slot, three games have been allocated the slot in Week 1.

Week 2 only has one Monday game, which is Madrid’s trip out to Granada, but it also carries two Friday night fixtures too.

Barcelona remain in a Sunday evening slot for their trip to Malaga in the second weekend of the League season.
