Ancelotti rejects Ibrahimovic

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has not asked his bosses to bring in Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, according to Marca.

Reports in Spain on Wednesday had suggested Ibra wanted to link up with his former Paris Saint-Germain boss at Madrid for next season, with Ancelotti having asked club President Florentino Perez to try and sign him.

However, Marca insists the Italian has not requested Ibrahimovic or even spoken about bringing the Swedish striker to the Spanish capital, and although he considers him a great player it is understood he is not in his plans.

Mina Raiola, the player’s agent, is believed to have been in Madrid over the past few days to find out if there was possible interest in his client, with Ibrahimovic allegedly upset with PSG’s signing of Edinson Cavani from Napoli.

Ancelotti has already told Los Blancos’ officials he is happy with forwards Karim Benzema, Alvaro Morata and Jese, while he is still waiting to hear if Gonzalo Higuain is prepared to stay at the club.
