Sergio Ramos has returned to preseason training a week earlier than expected, whilst Raphael Varane has rejoined the main group.
Madrid began preseason preparations on the training field on Monday evening with a first workout under new Coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Defender Ramos was not expected at the club until next Monday, having been given a week’s extra leave alongside Iker Casillas, Raul Albiol, Alvaro Arbeloa and Marcelo for having been on Confederations Cup duty.
However, he has reportedly been working in the gym alongside Xabi Alonso and Asier Illarramendi since yesterday.
Meanwhile, teammate Varane, who underwent knee surgery just over two months ago, left the gym for part of today to return to working with the main group for the first time.
