Celta Vigo’s Hugo Mallo has enthused at his recovery from serious knee injury, affirming this week that he is ‘completely’ recovered.
The 22-year-old suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury to his left knee in early January’s Copa del Rey clash with Real Madrid, which has kept him away from the field for the last seven months.
“It is completely recovered, I am now looking to get back to the best condition for the new season,” enthused Mallo to reporters this week.
“It was a great surprise, a great joy, being discharged. It is true that I have not yet met all the deadlines, but the knee is fine.
“I have to thank the physiotherapists and the fans because they helped me a lot during all these months.
“I have this last year been looking forward to training with the first team. I felt very comfortable, I hope to continue.
“I thought I would be more afraid with my foot now, but it is not the case.”
