2013-14 Liga fixtures due today

The full fixture list for the 2013-14 Primera Division and Segunda Division seasons will be drawn at 10.30am UK time today.

The running order for next year’s top flight will be determined today at the Assembly of the Spanish Football Federation.

Fixtures in La Liga will run from August 17 through to May 18, with three midweek rounds on September 25, October 30 and March 26 determined.

The calendar must meet FIFA requirements in accordance with build up to the World Cup in Brazil next summer.

December 6-8 is a weekend reserved for Copa del Rey action, whilst the Cup competition will also see one Saturday in April reserved for the final.

In the Segunda Division, there will be no midweek games and the championship will conclude on June 8, with promotion play-offs set for June 11, 15, 18 and 22.

Meanwhile, Spain have a friendly set away to Ecuador on August 14, three days before the season begins.

The Supercopa de Espana between last year’s League and Cup winners Barcelona and Atletico Madrid is set for a first leg of August 21 at the Vicente Calderon and a second leg of August 28 at the Camp Nou.
