Malaga complete Anderson deal

Malaga have made their second signing of the summer transfer window, confirming a deal for Bobley Anderson has been reached.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder, who was rumoured to have previously attracted the attention of Real Madrid, has been confirmed as having signed a five-year contract at La Rosaleda.

Malaga are believed to have paid Wydad de Casablanca around €1m for his playing rights.

In announcing the deal through a statement on their official website, the Anchovies carried comments from the youngster.

“I’m very happy. Playing with Malaga will allow me to progress as a footballer,” Ivory Coast-born Anderson reflected.

“I needed to join a club like Malaga. I can’t wait to get out there and play and show what I’m capable of.

“I’ve admired the Spanish League since I was a young boy, so I’m so excited to be a part of it, along with some fantastic players and against some of the greats.

“I’d love to win a title with Malaga.”

Anderson is Malaga’s second new face of the summer, after Flavio Ferreira’s arrival from Academica in mid-June.
