Torres & Casillas start against Italy

Iker Casillas and Fernando Torres have regained their places in the Spani XI as La Roja prepare to face Italy in the Confederations Cup.

Vicente Del Bosque’s men play the Azzurri this evening in the semi-finals of the competition, with the winner facing off against Brazil on Sunday.

And the Coach has decided to recall the Real Madrid goalkeeper – who comes in for Victor Valdes – and the Chelsea striker – who replaces Roberto Soldado.

Elsewhere, Sergio Ramos continues his record of being the only Spanish player to start in all four games, whilst David Silva and Pedro start alongside Torres.

For Italy, they are without talismanic forward Mario Balotelli, who had to leave the tournament through injury – Alberto Gilardino is his replacement.

Spain: Casillas; Arbeloa, Ramos, Pique, Alba; Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta; Pedro, Torres, Silva

Italy: Buffon; Bonucci, Chiellini, Barzagli; Giaccherini; De Rossi, Pirlo, Marchisio, Maggio; Candreva, Gilardino
