Perez: Ancelotti, Isco imminent

Real Madrid’s Florentino Perez has commented that Carlo Ancelotti ‘is my Coach’ and that Isco’s arrival from Malaga could be announced ‘soon’.

Paris Saint-Germain’s advancement in talks with Laurent Blanc to take over as their Coach for next season has the French expected to agree to release Ancelotti from the final year of his contract with them.

On from this situation, reports in Spain have suggested that the Italian could agree a deal with Madrid inside 24 hours, and it is something that the club’s President has now confirmed.

“It is a possibility that he will be here by Wednesday. Today [Monday] he has not signed,” Perez told 20 Minutos this week.

“PSG may announce an agreement that allows a move to Madrid. Hopefully everything goes well. My Coach is Ancelotti. It relies on PSG reaching an agreement with Ancelotti and announcing their new Coach, Blanc.

“I do not know why they call Ancelotti the Italian Del Bosque. Ancelotti has trained in many countries and not led a national team.

“Vicente del Bosque is the opposite case. He trained Madrid and then the national team. I do not know how they are alike.”

Meanwhile, reports over the weekend suggested also that Los Blancos had beaten Manchester City to the signing of Isco, reaching an agreement for his €30m transfer.

“I know that Isco is very excited to come. The same excitement I have in him coming. He has great potential to be a player at Real Madrid because he wants to be in Madrid and Madrid also want him.

“Let it be clear that I have never used that word with any player. Isco is one of the greatest players in Spain and the coaching staff understand that he is of sufficient quality to be in Madrid. If all goes well, we will soon announce his signing. Always after the Coach.”
