La Roja play Nigeria this evening, knowing that three points would see them top Group B and face Italy in the last four of the tournament.
But the Barcelona defender has insisted that the team are focused on beating the African champions first.
“There is a remote chance of failing,” he told reporters in Brazil. “But we are not thinking about that at the moment.
“To win this tournament we have to beat the best, no matter who we play in the semis or the final.”
