Schuster: Malaga will play for the fans

New Malaga Coach Bernd Schuster has insisted that he has not joined the Andalusian side to simply 'hang out'.

The German tactician was announced as Manuel Pellegrini's successor earlier this month, and the 53-year-old has claimed that his side will work harder than ever to get back in the Champions League.

“The fans should know that I have not come here to simply hang out,” he told Malaga TV.

“We are here to do important work. The team is aware that it is playing for the fans.

“For me this is very important.

“I have come here eager, energetic and I hope this project will start out well.

“This is the sort of project that all Coaches would like.”
