Alvaro Morata has revealed that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has informed him he will be staying at the club next season.
The 20-year-old, who won the Golden Boot at this summer’s UEFA Under-21 Championship in Israel, was speculated earlier this week as in Los Blancos’ plans for next season, regardless of other transfer activity in the summer.
On from that, the striker has confirmed that this is the case, having spoken to the club President after Spain’s 4-2 final win over Italy on Tuesday.
“The President called me. He told me I'm staying at Real Madrid next season, that he's really happy with me,” Morata told Onda Cero this week.
“I'm here, let's see if I can convince Isco to come on board…
“I'm really pleased about the tournament and the trophy. I want to thank my teammates for everything.”
