Valencia defender Jeremy Mathieu looks set to sign a new contract with the club, tying him to Los Che until 2017.
The French centre-back had been linked with a move away from the Mestalla this summer, following their disappointing fifth place finish last season.
But AS have claimed that the 29-year-old will put pen-to-paper on a new contract, which will include an increase in his buyout clause from €10m to €20m.
Mathieu played 19 times last season, scoring one goal.
