Valencia to raise €18m

Valencia reportedly intend to raise a further €18m in player sales this summer to ease financial pressure at the club.

The Mestalla outfit, who have a combined debt of €355m and increasing pressure on a particular €86m that the club’s majority shareholders have, reportedly need a total of €24m to come in this summer in order to balance the books.

Los Che, who missed out on Champions League qualification on the last day of the season, have already negotiated Tino Costa’s sale to Spartak Moscow for €6.5m, so are seen now as requiring just under €18m to settle their accounts.

Most expected to depart is Adil Rami, who is reported to have a buyout clause of €12m, and several clubs following him.

Pablo Piatti, Aly Cissokho, Diego Alves and Antonio Barragan are all believed to be on the market, whilst Vicente Guaita, Jeremy Mathieu and Roberto Soldado have all respectively attracted interest heading into this summer too.
