On from defeating Uruguay 2-1 in Group B’s opening match on Sunday night in Recife, La Roja’s squad have today flown over 2,000km along the coast of the country to Rio de Janeiro.

From there, Spain will begin preparations for Thursday’s second game of the competition against Tahiti, at the Maracana.

On from today’s two-hour flight, a light recovery training session in the evening will be held for the players who appeared against Uruguay, whilst the others will face a more intensive workout.
