Morata at Madrid next term

Alvaro Morata has reportedly been told that he will not be sold or loaned out by Real Madrid for next season.

The young striker, who has made his Under-21 debut for Spain during this summer’s UEFA Under-21 Championship and is so far top scorer with four goals, will be at the Santiago Bernabeu next season.

The 20-year-old was anticipated as on his way out of Los Merengues for 2013-14, whilst Malaga were reportedly tracking his availability as part of negotiations for Isco moving the other way.

However, they and others have been informed, according to AS, that the striker is not moving this summer.

Morata has also apparently been told of the club’s intention to keep him as the senior squad’s third-choice striker, with any moves to strengthen the department due only in Gonzalo Higuain’s departure.
