Spain’s Confederations Cup squad touched down in Recife, Brazil ahead of this summer’s tournament kicking off at the weekend.
La Roja enter the competition as world and double European champions and kick off Group B against Uruguay on Sunday evening, before facing Tahiti and then Nigeria.
After playing out warm-up victories against Haiti and the Republic of Ireland in Miami and New York respectively, the squad have now travelled out to Brazil and to Recife, which will host their opening fixture in the tournament.
Touching down at Guararapes de Recife airport, the squad was greeted by heavy rain in the tropical region, before being received by more than 100 fans at the team’s hotel, the Golden Tulip Refice Palace.
