Malaga appoint Schuster – report

Sky Sports News Germany is reporting that Bernd Schuster is officially the new Coach of Malaga, replacing Manuel Pellegrini.

Reports this week have been that the German technician is on the verge of agreeing to return to La Liga, with it seen that an agreement in principle was reached on Wednesday, before finer details to his contract were to be ironed out on Thursday.

Sky Sports News Germany believe that these details have now been fixed and that the 53-year-old has formalised his agreement to take charge of the Anchovies.

Out of work since leaving Besiktas in 2011, Schuster has previous Primera Division coaching experience through spells with Levante, Getafe and Real Madrid.

Schuster, whose negotiations have timed with sporting director Mario Husillos’ departure from La Rosaleda, is understood to have agreed a two-year contract.
