Getafe have confirmed the expected signing of Celta Vigo full-back Roberto Lago on a four-year contract.
Lago, who yesterday bid farewell to Celta after 18 years at the club through its youth system and into the first team, was reported by Getafe’s President Angel Torres in early May as having agreed to a switch.
The free transfer has been confirmed today via a brief statement released by the Madrid side.
“Roberto Lago is a new player of Getafe,” read the posting.
“They player will be a Getafe player for the next four seasons.”
Meanwhile, the club have also confirmed that goalkeeper Jordi Codina has signed a two-year extension.
