Xabi Alonso has reflected on now former Coach Jose Mourinho, praising his ability in the Real Madrid dressing room to get his message across.
The Portuguese has left the Santiago Bernabeu after much criticism in the Spanish media for a disappointing third campaign hit by reports of issues with players.
However, midfielder Alonso has spoken up for the 50-year-old’s work.
“He is someone who strikes a chord with the players and knows perfectly how to transmit messages in the dressing room,” the 31-year-old told the latest issue of So Foot.
“He is a good communicator and, most importantly, is someone who does not hide away.
“He also knows what quick decisions to take to change the outcome of a game.”
