Malaga defender Martin Demichelis is being tempted by a move to either Fiorentina or Schalke.
The Argentine international is returning to his native country on Tuesday still uncertain of his future, with former club having expressed an interest in him for some months.
However, the Italian side and the Bundesliga outfit are both considering making a move for the 32-year-old, according to El Desmarque.
Fiorentina have agreed terms with Demichelis’ Malaga teammate Joaquin and are also reportedly interested in midfielder Manuel Iturra, while Schalke want to give the player the opportunity to return to Germany after his spell with Bayern Munich between 2003 and 2010.
Nonetheless, for the moment Demichelis will use his trip to Argentina to decide on what is best for him in the coming months, although he has still not ruled out staying with Malaga where he has rejuvenated his career following his arrival from Bayern in December 2010.
However, the Costa del Sol club has been beset by difficulties since owner Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani opted to withdraw his financial backing last year and are understood to be unwilling to match his wages.
