Lucas Alcaraz has made clear that Granada will face Getafe with ‘professionalism and intensity’, despite having nothing to play for.
The Andalucians achieved mathematical safety last weekend, so host Europa League qualification outsiders Getafe with nothing to aim for.
“Saturday is primarily a football match in the Primera Division,” countered Alcaraz in his pre-game conference.
“We will try to win as there are interests at stake.
“When you hit your target it is normal for people to relax, but we must be focused on the game on Saturday and face it with professionalism and intensity out of respect for the fans and because we would like a team with nothing at stake to still give it their all against a direct rival.
“Getafe are playing for Europe, so we expect them to play with intensity and make things complicated.
“But I hope that we play a good game to end the season on a positive note.”
