Real Madrid President Florentino Perez met with Zinedine Zidane for a two-hour meeting on Monday, reportedly to discuss his role and transfers.
It is understood that Perez is keen to reintegrate Zidane back into the working set-up at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Speculation is that a meeting held with Zidane on Monday was to work out his role, thought to be either a return to sporting director, or to act as assistant Coach to Carlo Ancelotti, should the Italian make the move from Paris Saint-Germain.
The two-hour summit held at Perez’ offices was also seen as the President and Zidane’s opportunity to outline a strategy for the club in the coming summer transfer market.
Madrid have been linked with the likes of Gareth Bale and Isco in recent days.
