Sevilla are being linked with a surprise return move for Luca Cigarini, as a bidding round for his signature is expected.
The midfielder has spent the last two seasons on loan from Napoli at Atalanta, but La Dea apparently face competition in trying to retain his services once more.
The player’s agent has suggested that Sevilla may be considering a move for the 26-year-old, who they took on loan for the 2010-11 campaign but only fielded six times in La Liga.
“There have been interesting proposals from outside of Italy,” Cigarini’s agent Giovanni Bia is quoted as saying this week.
“There is the option to go to Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga or to return to Sevilla in the Spanish League.
“Luca’s priority is to play so as to demonstrate the qualities that he possesses, and he puts the guarantee of playing minutes alongside the name of the team.”
Cigarini has a contract with Napoli until June 2015.
