Real Madrid have called a Press conference for Monday evening, where President Florentino Perez could announce Jose Mourinho’s departure.
Speculation has been that the club today brought forward a board meeting between Perez, general manager Jose Angel Sanchez and Coach Mourinho, to discuss the Portuguese’ future at the club.
Rumours are that both the club and tactician are keen for a parting of the ways this summer, on from a trophyless season, which was confirmed by Friday’s Copa del Rey Final defeat.
And to follow on from this meeting, the club have called a Press conference for Monday evening, 7pm UK time, where President Perez is expected to address the media.
Even with two League games of the season to go, it is anticipated that he could confirm Mourinho’s departure.
The 50-year-old has been linked in recent weeks with a return to Chelsea, whilst Carlo Ancelotti is widely recognised as Madrid’s first choice to replace him at the Santiago Bernabeu.
