Madrid won’t pay for Ancelotti

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has reportedly told Carlo Ancelotti to sort out his own exit strategy from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Italian is under contract for another season at the newly-crowned French champions, but has been increasingly linked with a move across to Spain to replace Jose Mourinho at Madrid.

However, PSG have already claimed to have turned down an approach from Los Merengues and, according to Marca, are asking for €4m to buy the tactician out of his contract.

President Perez is seen as unwilling to meet this demand and has apparently informed Ancelotti that he has 10 days to organise his own exit from the Parisians, as Madrid will not be paying compensation for him.

The capital club have paid as much as a reputed €20m combined to release previous Coaches Manuel Pellegrini and Mourinho from respective contracts at Villarreal and Inter.

Ancelotti is set to meet with PSG’s owner in the coming days, where he is expected to plead his case to be released.
