Barcelona director of football Andoni Zubizarreta has claimed that the Liga title proves that there is no 'end of cycle'.
Some had suggested earlier this month that Bayern Munich had put an end to the Blaugrana's dominance in Europe.
But the board member has insisted that that is not the case, after they claimed their 22nd League trophy on Saturday following Real Madrid's 1-1 draw with Espanyol.
“People were talking about the end of a cycle but we’ve won the main title again, the title of consistency,” he told the club's official website.
“The squad has been able to maintain a cruising speed with an incredible ability to compete.
“We have to be clear where we’re coming from. We have to stick to our style and Tito accepted the challenge of maintaining it.
“We’ve tried to do that the best way we know how. We stick to this style even though it’s sometimes not enough for us to win, like the day against Bayern.”
